Murphy’s Ranch LLC is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our lawn maintenance crew. This position supports daily lawn and landscape operations while maintaining our standards for quality, efficiency, safety, and customer service.
The ideal candidate communicates well, stays organized, works effectively with a team, and maintains a positive, professional attitude on and off the job.
Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time schedule, typically five days per week
- Normal working hours are approximately 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Workdays may end earlier when scheduled routes are completed
- Occasional Saturday work may be required
- Compensation is paid at a daily rate
- Payday is every Friday
- Work is primarily performed throughout Highlands, Hardee, and Polk Counties
General Responsibilities
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, applicable laws, and professional business practices
- Arrive on time and prepared to review the day’s schedule
- Prepare trucks, trailers, equipment, tools, fuel, and materials
- Load and secure equipment safely before travel
- Check equipment fluids, tire pressure, trailer connections, and lights
- Perform lawn and landscape maintenance according to contracted specifications
- Communicate with the owner and crew to complete work safely and efficiently
- Maintain quality standards at every customer property
- Mow, string-trim, edge, blow, rake, weed, prune, and remove approved debris
- Install and remove mulch, decorative rock, plants, and sod
- Use hand tools and power equipment safely
- Assist with digging, planting, irrigation, and sprinkler installation as needed
- Help maintain clean, organized trucks, trailers, and equipment
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more throughout the workday
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, walk, and perform physical labor for eight hours or longer
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, direct sunlight, and changing weather conditions with appropriate breaks
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to remain composed and work cooperatively in physically demanding situations
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Professional conduct and a customer-focused attitude
- Willingness to comply with a drug-free workplace policy
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of lawn-maintenance experience
- Irrigation or sprinkler-system experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience safely driving a truck with a trailer
